Bonnie,
Thanks for sharing your personal experience. I commend your connection with your body and your food. Others I know who follow a vegan and raw food diet say they have amazing energy. I've noticed how joyful, creative, healthy and youthful they are. Glad the article spoke to you.

Blessings,
Carol

Dear Carol,
Besides being an extreme nature lover, my diet is @ 90% vegan /10 % vegetarian, so I use a lot of produce. I always thank & bless my food before I eat it. The article has taken my gratitude for the abundance being shared with me to a deeper level. My connection to the generosity being bestowed on me is greater, so I am inspired to find more ways to be generous myself. Thank you for sharing the article-it is a true gift.

Well spoken, Brother. Much wisdom in your words and what is even more important, is that I see you living by those words. You are a wonderful example for me of courage, determination, kindness, generosity, love and laughter.

Thank you for the kind words. Back at you Bro.

What have I learned in 65 years: 1) It's o.k. not to be perfect. It's o.k. to make mistakes, because you are not working very hard if we don't make mistakes. Growth and wisdom comes not only from doing things right, but also from doing things wrong. The most important thing is to do something. 2) It's a sad world without love, and first you must learn to love yourself before you can love others. Also part of truly being able to love is learning to forgive, and hopefully forget. 3) One can never truly give or receive love if they place barriers up around themselves. Love includes sharing of all your feelings, good ones and those that have hurt you . Love often includes being hurt. Being hurt by your partner, by your children, and yes by those whom we look up to. Remember, no one is perfect and often our hurts are not intentional, but they still hurt. But these hurts also allow us to learn patience, understanding, forgiveness, and empathy. 4) Throughout your life, always learn to see the "light side" of events. Don't be afraid to laugh at events and at yourself. Laughter bring happiness, smiles, and joy to yourself and those around you.

Bless you my sweet sister, you are the light of my life. My hero, my mentor, and my best friend. Love you very much.

Thank you for this wonderful blog entry! I absolutely need to apply this to my own life and behaviors. It is time (past time actually) for me to do some cleaning, inside and out.

Thanks, Collin. Not as graceful as the site you created for me and it is on it's way. We have a resources page to add that will have articles, tools and helpful information for others as well as a Celebrant page for the weddings and celebration of life options. Michele is very creative and it is a matter of time. I'm getting used to the "new look" and do miss the flowing grace and elegance of your artistry.

Ted,
Thanks for the affirming comments. I always value and appreciate your input. What you see as being "different" I see as your uniqueness and incredible gifts and talents that you bring to share with us "ordinary" folks. I'm sure Einstein, Monet, the Wright Brothers, etc., etc., probably never felt that they fit either. You are in good company!!!

Blessings and love,
Carol

You did it! It looks clean and easy to read, and you kept some of the imagery from before, while now being able to stay more current online. Good for you Carol!

Wonderful thoughts in your newsletter. Thank you.

I particularly liked "My grandmother told me,

'Never hide your green hair--

They can see it anyway.'"

...Angeles Arrien

A wise grandmother!!!

I have never wanted to be like everyone else, but still suffer from the rejection in jhs from being "different". This unreconciled issue causes me a lot of pain. How can i accept the parts of me that are different when I'm still trying to fit in? I'm 65 this year & still trying!

Good for you--treating yourself to a trip to Hawaii.

Love,

Ted
